
Onur Kaya (he/him) is a PhD student specializing in the 2nd millennium BC Anatolia at Istanbul University, Department of Protohistory and Near Eastern Archaeology. Graduated from the same department, in his MA thesis (2023) Onur studied architectural practices in the Neolithic and Chalcolithic Anatolia, with a specific focus on the West. In his PhD, he is working on architecture and settlement patterns of Bronze Age central Anatolia. In his research, Onur uses complementary methods of archaeology and scientific practices. He is mainly interested in the application of synchrotron light on cultural heritage and archaeological materials.

Timur Güzey is a PHD student specializing in archaeometallurgy. Timur graduated from Ankara University's Department of Protohistory and Near Eastern Archaeology and completed his master's degree at Istanbul University, where he is currently pursuing his doctoral studies. His research focuses on metal artifacts found at Konya-Karahöyük dating back to the 2nd millennium BCE. Timur uses complementary methods of archaeological science in his research, such as mineralogy, chemistry, and isotope analysis.
