Archaeobotany

Archaeobotany research at the site started in 2022 when a depot area with a significant number of pithoi full of grains was uncovered.

The research at these squares is ongoing by our Specialist Doğa Karakaya.

Our archaeobotany expert Dr. Doğa Karakaya (University of Helsinki) worked in our lab at Istanbul University on the samples that we completed the flotation of all season.
